A five day course on
"High Performance Computations for Engineering", 2007

Coordinated by: Professor B.H.V. Topping, Heriot-Watt University, UK and University of Pécs, Hungary

Course Objectives:

To provide an overview of the state of the art of high performance computing as applied to engineering applications. Special reference will be given to parallel, distributed and grid computing and how serial or sequential algorithms for engineering problems may be parallelized for the efficient solution of large scale problems in engineering, analysis, simulation and design.

Course Fee:

The Course Fee is 250 Euro including lecture notes, conference events (tour and course dinner), lunches (six days) and coffee break refreshments.

Accommodation:

A list of hotels in Pecs will be sent by Secretariat upon receipt of the registration form or upon request. A limited number of single rooms are usually available at the University Residence at the price of approx. 20 Euro per person per night. Those interested should apply promptly through Secretariat.
